Business Internet

The fixed connection that fits your business.

Fiber, cable or DSL: we compare the providers available at your address. Bandwidth, static IP, SLA and costs are assessed together, including ordering and technical handover.

Fixed-line connection types

Four routes online. One suitable choice.

Technology is a means to an end. Available bandwidth, upload, service, installation time, redundancy and your applications determine the choice.

Fiber

Fiber can be the right choice for high or symmetrical bandwidth. Rollout, upstream infrastructure, installation costs and SLA are checked for the specific address.

Cable

A regional or nationwide cable provider can offer the most cost-effective solution if bandwidth, static IP and the required service quality fit.

DSL

DSL can be a useful existing or interim connection at some addresses. Availability and performance are checked individually.

Mobile 5G

There are dedicated 5G products with standard and corporate variants for quick starts, hard-to-connect locations and backup.

Coordinated planning

From provider selection to handover.

verbunden.at supports the entire connection, from comparing providers to handover for your applications.

Availability, handover interface, IP design, hardware, changeover and documentation are planned together.

Business or residential?

When is business internet worthwhile?

An affordable residential connection can be entirely sufficient for small, non-critical applications. Other features matter when reachability, server access, telephony or multiple sites depend on it.

Residential access can fit when …

  • short interruptions are manageable for the business
  • no static IP or public services are required
  • support and fault resolution do not need contractual predictability
  • no complex site or firewall integration is needed

Business internet makes sense when …

  • static IP, a domain or routing is required
  • service levels and defined fault resolution matter
  • telephony, VPN, servers or cloud services depend on it
  • backup, connected sites or professional operation are planned

Backup Connectivity

A second route when the first fails.

Redundancy needs planning, not just ordering.

We check whether the backup route, hardware, IP design and applications actually work together during an outage.

  • compare a primary line with 5G, fiber with cable or other fixed/mobile combinations
  • check different providers and shared upstream infrastructure
  • assess separate technologies or cable routes
  • define automatic or manual failover
  • test telephony, VPN and cloud services on backup access
  • document data allowance, bandwidth and mobile coverage

Project planning

Getting your business online.

  1. Location & requirements

Record the address, users, applications, telephony, existing firewall and required resilience.

  2. Product & variant

Compare available fixed and mobile options, including service, IP, contract term and rollout time.

  3. Order & appointments

Coordinate the provider, building cabling, electrician and internal IT team around a realistic schedule.

  4. Technical handover

Coordinate IP addresses, the handover point and relevant interfaces with your existing IT team.

  5. Testing & backup

Test the primary route, backup route, failover and critical services together.

  6. Clear operational records

Record connections, responsibilities, configuration and sensible next extensions.

Technically and financially suitable

No more connection than you need.

An expensive specialist line is not automatically the better choice. Regional cable can be sufficient when performance, static IP and service fit. 5G can also be cost-effective for small branch sites. We compare installation, running costs, outage risk and actual needs without blanket price promises.

A new line. A controlled changeover

Plan the switch before activation.

We coordinate appointments and any overlap. Before switching, we record IP addresses, firewall interfaces, telephony, VPN and cloud services. Afterwards, we test reachability and important applications and document the connection and fault-reporting route.

Technical networking behind the connection, including firewall, VPN and site-to-site connectivity, is covered by vernetzen.at.

Frequently asked questions

Business internet, clearly explained.

How does business internet differ from a residential line?

Depending on the product, static IP, defined service hours and fault resolution may be included. We check which features your location actually needs.

Is a static IP always included?

Not every connection includes a static public IP. We establish your actual requirements and check the specific product option, including multiple addresses or routing.

What does SLA mean?

A Service Level Agreement defines agreed service features such as availability, service hours or fault resolution. The exact terms depend on the product and contract.

What happens during a fault?

The fault is reported with connection details and technical context. With a planned backup solution, the firewall can switch to a second route. How quickly and fully this works depends on the configuration.

Can 5G be used as backup?

Yes, if reception, hardware and data needs fit. We test failover and consider how IP addresses, telephony and important applications behave.

Can multiple locations be connected?

We supply and support the right connection at each site. Technical site-to-site integration using firewall and VPN is explained further at vernetzen.at .

Does verbunden.at also plan a complete new location?

Yes. We check the connection, coordinate the order and appointment, support the handover and document the connection details. For firewall and LAN/WLAN, we work with your existing IT team; more information is available at vernetzen.at.

Can the existing firewall be reused?

The existing firewall can often be retained. For the specific configuration, VPN and security architecture, vernetzen.at is the relevant service.

How do contract terms and provider changes work?

This depends on the product and current offer. We check notice periods, installation appointments and parallel operation to keep the changeover predictable.
